L’idée avec cette machine est de pouvoir faire des runs classiques de 300m, mais aussi courir sur des runs plus longs voir essayer de battre des records de vitesse comme ceux qui ont lieu à Bonneville (voir BOOOM BSF Edition).
 
BOOOM dispose de 5 caractéristiques peu communes: 2 moteurs de 12000hp chacun, un appui aéro hors norme avec un diffuseur centrale, des roues arrières à jantes auxétiques, une roue avant sphérique qui sert de contrepoids et enfin un cockpit de survie éjectable.
